BIG SPRING -- A trial has been postponed for a Big Spring man accused of sexually assaulting a child.

Hector Manuel Gonzales, Jr. is charged with 4 felony counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

The Big Spring Herald reports that the trial -- which was set to begin in the 118th District Court on October 29th, has been postponed.

Gonzales, 33, is accused of sexually abusing a child 4 times between March 1, 2010 and November 24, 2010.

The alleged incidents were investigated by the Big Spring Police Department, and Gonzales was indicted by a Howard County grand jury in April 2012.

If convicted, Gonzales would face 5 to 99 years in prison for each count, and a fine of up to $10,000.
