October Jobs Report Due Out Friday

Even though Superstorm Sandy shut down federal offices for two days, the Labor Department says it will still get the October jobs report out on Friday as planned.
This report could be crucial to the election. It's the last look at the health of the country's jobs market before all voters go to the polls. The jobs report has only been delayed once and that was in January 1996. That was because of a government shutdown over a budget deadlock.
As of last month, the national unemployment rate is 7-point-8 percent ... down from 8-point-1 percent in August.
