MIDLAND -- Midland's 50th Gem and Mineral show: A cut and polish about the rest! Largest variety of gem and mineral show dealers in the area. Find that unique gift for him or her!

Saturday, Nov. 3rd from 9 - 6 and/or Sunday, Nov 4th from 10 - 5, at the Midland Center at Wall & Main St.

MGMS is a non-profit Gem & Mineral Society located in Midland, Texas.

MGMS was first organized in 1957 by several geologists with a vision to share the wonders of our geological history with others and stimulate greater interest within the community about the wonders of our earth.

Since first opening MGMS' doors, the club has grown steadily to a current membership of well over 100. The steady growth can be attributed to the dedication, and leadership of it's members. A prime example is demonstrated daily by MGMS members who, without being asked, offer themselves as mentors to others. They do this as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

MGMS is highly respected in the community due to it's educational programs, as well as it's works with Museums, Schools, and other Earth Science organizations. Within the club, members can learn a variety of skills from some of the finest crafts-people in the area. These classes cover everything from lapidary to silversmithing. One can even learn how to facet stones.

Our monthly meetings, on the 4th Thursday of the month, are open to the public. So, if you have a few minutes free come visit us.
