MIDLAND -- A man gets hit by a vehicle, and ends up in the Midland County Detention Center.

Midland Police tell Big 2 that a drunk man was trying to cross Midkiff Road near Wall Street around 7 PM Wednesday when he suddenly stopped in the median and turned around to head back to the sidewalk.

A vehicle reportedly smashed into the man in the southbound lanes of Midkiff Road.

Luckily, the man wasn't badly injured in the incident.

However, officers arrested the pedestrian after the incident -- likely for public intoxication.

The man's name has not been released.

Police say that driver who hit the pedestrian won't get a citation -- since the man wasn't crossing at a crosswalk.
