Howard County commissioners were expected to look at a road use agreement for oil and trucking companies during their meeting on Tuesday.
If the agreement is passed, companies would need to get permits to exit onto county roads.
Companies would pay a fee for their permits as well.
Money from the permits would go towards repairing county roads -- which are seeing a huge surge in truck traffic.
The increased truck traffic on county roads is causing more road damage than the current Howard County budget can afford to repair.
