MIDLAND -- This was supposed to be the season the Lee Rebels made it back to the post season. Instead, the end result in 2012 would be the same as the previous three years .

No playoff berth for Lee.

Going into week nine, it seemed inevitable the Rebels would grab that second seed in District 2-5A; all they had to do was win. Instead, Permian grabbed the upset victory. That was followed up by a Lee loss at home to San Angelo Central in week ten.

The Rebels finished fifth in the district and one spot out of the playoffs.
