Late Surge Not Enough for Bulldogs

MIDLAND -- The Midland High Bulldogs needed to get a win over Abilene high in the final week of the season to make the playoffs.

They almost did just that.

The game seemed all but lost in the third quarter, when the Dawgs trailed the Eagles 28-0. That is until MHS scored 21 unanswered points. The comeback would fall short, and Abilene would finish the year with a win over Midland and a perfect record.

With that loss, the Bulldogs are on the outside looking in when it comes to the playoffs.
