Midland I.S.D. officials say that they've seen a rise in confirmed cases of the flu amuont their students this week.
Symptoms such as fever, severe aches and pains, generalized weakness, flushed appearance, red or watery eyes, headaches, dry coughs and sore throats can start suddenly and cause a prolonged illness.
M.I.S.D. officials say that students who have the flu should stay home until all symptoms subside and they don't have a fever anymore.
Meanwhile, everyone should wash their hands and cover their mouths when they cough, to keep the flu from spreading.
