Midland and Odessa Gearing up for TX Recycles Day

Individuals and groups are encouraged to bring their old computers, printers, hard drives, TV's, cell phones, and other electronics to the Chap Center parking lot of Midland College. Volunteers will also be collecting tires (6 per vehicle), paper, newspaper, phone books, cardboard, and aluminum for recycling at that time. Secured Document Shredding will be taking up to three standard size boxes of personal papers for shredding. Salvation Army will be collecting reusable items that day at the same site. They WILL NOT COLLECT PAINT AND BATTERIES. Paint can be taken directly to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore - 305 E. Texas. Batteries can be taken to Mid -Tex Battery Company - 1410 W. Front.
Texas Recycles Day is an annual statewide public awareness campaign to promote the environmental and economic benefits of the Four R's - reduce, reuse, recycle, rebuy.
ODESSA -- Keep Odessa Beautiful also participating in Texas Recycles Day on Saturday November 17, 2012 at the Odessa Recycle Time Machine located at 816 W. 42nd St.
