ODESSA -- An S.U.V. hits a teenage girl in Odessa.

The incident happened at J.B.S Parkway and maple avenue around 7:30 PM on Tuesday.

Odessa Police tell Big 2 that a 16-year-old girl was trying to cross J.B.S. Parkway toward U.T.P.B. when a black S.U.V. ran into her in the north outside lane of J.B.S. Parkway.

The girl was rushed to Medical Center Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after the crash.

Police say the girl was crossing the road in a crosswalk.

However, the S.U.V. had had the right-of-way at the intersection at the time of the crash, since the light was green.

Officers haven't said if any citations will be written.
