MIDLAND -- A Midland firefighter battling cancer is getting some help from his fellow firefighters.

The Midland Fire Department help to organize this Party in the Pasture Saturday, for Captain Lee Wise, a 27-year MFD veteran who's battling cancer.

The event featured BBQ, sent auctions and West Texas bands like Mark Mckinney, Lenhora and more at the the Star of Texas Ranch.

Organizer say all the money raised through ticket sales, raffles and auctions, will help cover Wise's medical costs.

In November, Wise's fellow firefighters held a fundraising fajita lunch for him.
