LOVING, NM -- Loving (NM) Police continue to investigate some threatening phone calls made to the city's school district last week.

According to The Carlsbad Current-Argus, a man called Loving Middle School and asked to speak to a former employee around 7:20 AM on November 30th.

Once the man found out that the person was no longer employed by the district, he reportedly called Loving High School and threatened to "blast" schools in the city.

Loving Police and Eddy County Sheriff's deputies evacated the city's elementary, middle and high schools around 9:30 AM on November 30th.

Meanwhile, authorities tried to track down the caller.

However, school staff believe the number the man called from came from an internet hoax site that provides fake numbers.

Anyone with information on this incident should call the Eddy County Sheriff's Office at (575) 887-7551.
