Traffic Alert: Portion of Main Midland Road To Be Closed for Work

MIDLAND -- A portion of Illinois Ave. in Midland will be closed Friday for road work.

Here's the full release from the City of Midland --


December 7, 2012, the contractor working for the City of Midland will close Illinois Ave. to through traffic at the Midkiff Rd. intersection from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to mill the existing pavement. During this time, east and west bound traffic on Illinois Av. will be detoured around the Illinois Av./Midkiff Rd. intersection. Two-way traffic will be maintained on Midkiff Rd. during the milling operation, and all properties adjacent to the work zone will remain accessible.
