Car Hits Train In McCamey, Kills Driver

MCCAMEY -- DPS Troopers are investigating a deadly accident that involved a train in Upton county.

The accident happened in McCamey at the intersection of 4th and Annis about 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

Officials say the driver of the car ran the stop sign at the intersection, hit a pole and then slammed into a train that was stopped on the tracks.

The driver died in the wreck.

No names are being released, as officials say they're working to contact next of kin.
