MIDLAND -- MIDLAND FESTIVAL BALLET PRESENTS "The Nutcracker".

As the leaves start to turn we all know winter is fast approaching, and with this the start of the holiday season begins our "Season of Classics."  Susan Clark, Artistic Director of Midland Festival Ballet, invites you to establish a new holiday tradition with your family by coming to Peter Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker.  This enchanting ballet is guaranteed to put everyone in the holiday spirit with a battle scene for the boys and the land of sweets for the girls.

To celebrate our 19th Nutcracker, MFB is thrilled to announce the largest cast yet with over 125 dancers including 7 boys.  Also, back by popular demand, the role of the sugar plum fairy and cavalier will be performed by principal dancers Amy Fote and Simon Ball from the Houston Ballet.  Ian Morris of Ballet San Antonio will perform as the Snow Cavalier and the Arabian Prince alongside Joseph Goodman as the Soldier Doll and Candy Cane Soloist.  Herr Drosselmeyer will be danced by Bobby Ball.

Please join them in this joyous family occasion on Saturday, December 8 at 7:30pm and Sunday, December 9 at 2:30pm at the Wagner Nol Performing Arts Center.  Douglas Droste, conductor of orchestral studies at Oklahoma State University, will be conducting the Midland-Odessa Symphony & Chorale.  Season tickets can be purchased through MFB at 432.686.0071.  Individual tickets can be purchased at the Wagner Nol Box Office at 1310 N.
