Man Killed In Yoakum County Shooting

YOAKUM COUNTY -- The Yoakum County Sheriff's Office is releasing more information on a fatal shooting that happened earlier this week.

    Yoakum County Sheriff Don Corzine says that someone shot Kenneth Krauter at a home on Chisholm Trail (east of Denver City) around 8:50 PM on December 5th.

    Krauter, 46, was rushed to the Yoakum County Hospital in Denver City, where he was pronounced dead.

    Corzine says that the shooting occurred during an altercation at the home.

    Corzine says no one has been arrested for the shooting, but deputies have identified everyone involved in the altercation.

    A criminal investigation into the incident is ongoing.

    The Texas Rangers and the Yoakum County District Attorney's Office are also looking into the incident.
