FORT STOCKTON -- Wild animals are causing big problems in Fort Stockton.

The Fort Stockton Pioneer reports that coyotes, bobcats, foxes, skunks and feral hogs are moving into the city and other inhabited areas such as Iraan and Imperial.

The animals are reportedly descending on the towns and cities in order to find food, since rural fields and pastures no longer have sufficient food for them.

The animals are wreaking havoc in inhabited areas, and they're also bringing a risk of rabies with them.

Now, Texas trappers have been called to the area to capture or kill the animals.

One trapper reportedly killed 34 feral hogs outside of Fort Stockton on December 11th.
