GOP Gov. Supports Over the Counter Birth Control

He says it would also avoid a political rematch over contraception.
Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal wrote in a Friday op-ed the change would prevent a repeat of this year's political battle over health insurance coverage for contraception.
He says conservative Republicans have been "stupid" to let Democrats insinuate that the GOP is against birth control.
Now, in the Wall Street Journal editorial, Jindal advocates a recent recommendation from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
In November, the group of women's health care physicians recommended birth control pills be made available without a prescription.
Over-the-counter birth control would also mean hospitals and schools with religious ties wouldn't have to offer health insurance with full contraception coverage.
