Former Lamesa Man Indicted For 2011 Martin County Murder

STANTON -- A Lamesa man has been indicted for a 2011 murder.
The Big Spring Herald reports that a grand jury in Martin County indicted Jose Americo Garcia on a murder charge on December 6th.
Garcia, 37, is accused of shooting Anau Rodgriguez Villagrana outside a party along County Road D3600 near Grady on August 21, 2011.
Villagrana, 32, was rushed to Midland Memorial Hospital, where he died an hour later.
Garcia -- a former Lamesa resident -- reportedly fled to Mexico with his wife and children after the incident.
Garcia's wife Rosalina was arrested in Mexico on September 14, 2011.
