Big 2 News crews say that the man who barricaded themselves in a home was arrested around 7:30 PM Tuesday.
As of 9:40 PM Tuesday the identity of the man arrested hadn't been released.
The incident started with a call of a vehicle plowing into a house in the 4700 block of Leisure Drive around 5:30 PM Tuesday.
Witnesses tell Big 2 that Midland Police barricaded Leisure Drive off at between Bentwood Drive and Eisenhower Drive after the incident.
The block remained barricaded for more than 2 hours.
Witnesses also say the officers on scene were heavily armed.
A SWAT team was also called to the scene.
Big 2 crews on scene also say that several families living along the block where the incident took place were evacuated from their homes and moved to a safer location.
Law enforcement then reportedly cut the power to the home, threw an object that made a loud "pop" and entered the home.
The man was arrested soon afterward, and evacuated families were allowed to return to their homes.
Neighbors believe a domestic dispute might have been the cause for the heavy police response.
