Dallas Cowboys player Josh Brent has had his bond reduced in an alleged drunken driving case.

Brent appeared in a Dallas County courtroom yesterday morning on an intoxication manslaughter charge.

Prosecutors say he was driving drunk and without a valid driver's license in a crash that killed his friend and teammate Jerry Brown Junior.

A judge lowered Brent's bond from half-a-million dollars to $100,000.

Both the district attorney and defense attorneys agreed with the change, saying the new amount is more in line with the charge Brent is facing.

Brent was also ordered to wear an ankle monitor that detects alcohol consumption through sweat glands.

He has been been placed on the NFL reserve/non-football illness list and won't play again this season.
