MIDLAND -- A Odessa teen is accused of kicking a Midland Police officer in the face.

Landri Lawler was arrested on December 17th.

Lawler, 17, reportedly was drunk at a home in the 4500 block of Ward Street around 8:15 PM on December 17th when officers tried to take her into custody for an unspecified crime.

Lawler reportedly resisted arrest, but was ultimately placed into handcuffs and placed in a police cruiser.

While police were driving Lawler to the Midland County Detention Center, she reportedly became irate.

Officers tried to place Lawler in leg restraints, but police say she kicked an officer in the face.

Now, Lawler is charged with assault of a public servant.

As of Thursday evening, Lawler wasn't listed in jail records at the Midland County Detention Center.
