TYPE OF INCIDENT: Murder F-1 Family Violence, Aggravated Assault W/ Deadly Weapon F-2 Family Violence

DATE/TIME OCCURRED: December 24, 2012, approximately 21:26hrs

LOCATION: 300 Blk. South Dixie

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Officers with the Odessa Police Department were dispatched to the 300 Block of South Dixie concerning two gunshot victims. Venesta Davis B/F 05-30-1962 was found deceased at the scene. The second victim Andrew Darius Thurman B/M 08-17-92 (son of Venesta Davis) was transported to Medical Center Hospital with life threatening injuries; he is currently listed in critical condition.

 

Investigators with the Crime Against Persons Unit responded to the scene. Based on information obtained during their investigation, arrest warrants were obtained and signed by Municipal Court Judge D. Jones charging L.C. Davis Jr., DOB 10-5-1957 for the offense of Murder F-1 Family Violence and Aggravated Assault W/ a Deadly Weapon F-2 Family Violence.

 

L.C. Davis is the ex-husband of the deceased victim Venesta Davis. L.C. Davis Jr. is a black male, with a a DOB of 10-05-57, 6'01 tall, 175lb, with black hair and brown eyes.  Davis was last seen Driving a Pewter or Tan 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche bearing Texas license plate BM83120.  The suspect vehicle will have front end damage.  Davis should be considered ARMED and DANGEROUS, if he is located contact the Odessa Police Department (432) 333-3641 or your Local Law enforcement agency, or Odessa Crime Stoppers at 432-333-TIPS.
