BIG SPRING -- A Big Spring landmark is getting ready for its big reopening.

The Hotel Settles first opened in big spring in the 1930's.

However, the hotel decayed over the decades, and it was shut down in 1982.

Now -- after 6 years of extensive demolition and renovation -- the hotel is officially reopening on the evening of December 28th.

The grand reopening will feature a ceremonial floor by floor-by-floor lighting, as well as the relighting of the historic Hotel Settles sign on top of the building.
