ODESSA -- Two Ector County Sheriff's deputies -- and Ector County itself -- are being sued for allegedly violating an Ector County man's constitutional rights.

The plaintiff -- Jerry Bryant -- says that he was arrested in January 2011 and accused of not having car insurance.

In the suit, Bryant claims that he was tackled by two jailers at the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.

Bryant adds that the alleged abuse broke his leg in the same spot where he had just had a hip replacement.

Bryant also says he was doused with pepper spray and dragged into a padded cell.

The charge Bryant was arrested for was later dismissed.

Now, Bryant wants a jury trial.

Bryant is also seeking more than $100,000 in damages.

The names of the deputies involved in the alleged incident are not being released at this time.
