Ford is creating more than 2000 jobs at new plants in southeast Michigan.

The carmaker announced it's investing more than 773 million dollars on new equipment and production capacity in a half-dozen facilities.

It's all part of Ford's plans to add 12,000 hourly jobs in the US and invest more than six billion dollars in U-S plants, both by 2015.

A Ford executive says as they wrap up an incredibly busy year of capacity expansions and production launches, they're continuing to look to the future.

He said the investments will ensure the southeast Michigan plants can support the company's aggressive growth plans.
