West Texas Authorities Search For Wanted Man Near Midland International Airport

MIDLAND-- The search took place along Business 20 right outside the Midland International Airport on Tuesday afternoon, as law enforcement tried to located their suspect
We're told this all began after the man fled from his vehicle during a routine DPS traffic stop.
Police tell us he ran across Business 20, over the railroad tracks, and headed south.
That's when a DPS helicopter began circling and patrolling the area and the k9 unit was brought in.
Big2 heard over scanner traffic that the man is believed to be 25 year-old Eric Perez who is wanted after allegedly trying to run over Martin County Deputies with his car.
The suspect has not been located yet, but DPS Troopers who were on scene tell us the search won't be over until he is found.
Officers cleared the scene around 5 pm Tuesday evening, right after they towed the abandoned vehicle.
