80th SandHills Rodeo Brings New Stock

ODESSA  -- Odessa ringing in the new year with the 80th Annual SandHills Stock Show and Rodeo at the Ector County Coliseum from January 4th-12th!

The 2012 SandHills Rodeo brought 919 PRCA professional cowboys and cowgirls to Odessa.  This ranks the Sandhills Rodeo #49 out of the 572 PRCA sanctioned rodeos in the US and Canada. In 2011, the total attendance was 24,192 for the six performances. For two weeks, rodeo personnel, contestants and families call Odessa home. The Sandhills Rodeo includes all of the PRCA events- bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle-bronc riding, tie-down roping, bull riding, barrel racing, and steer roping.

Rodeo starts at 7:00pm each night
Cancer Awareness Saturday Jan 5th
Christian Youth Night Wednesday Jan 9th
Family night Thursday Jan 10th - kid 12 & under gets in free with a purchase of an adult ticket
