Shoppers across the county, including in Midland, shopped at Hobby Lobby Saturday to show support of the chain.
This grassroots movement comes as the store is required to provide contraceptive coverage as part of its healthcare benefits package under "Obamacare." But Hobby Lobby is openly opposing the healthcare mandate on religious grounds.
The Christian-owned chain sued the U.S. Department on Health and Human Services, but last week, the Supreme Court rejected an injunction for Hobby Lobby against the mandate.
Now, Hobby Lobby is racking up more than $1 million in fines each day for not including contraceptives with its healthcare.
