2 Arrested For Federal Child Pornography Charges In Marfa, Alpine

ALPINE -- Two Big Bend residents have been arrested in connection with federal child pornography charges.

    William Warren Dodson of Marfa was arrested on December 26th and Stuart Mitchell Young of Alpine was arrested on January 3rd.

    The Big Bend Sentinel reports that Dodson, 69, was arrested after Homeland Security Investigation agents and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents searched his home at the corner of Edinburg Street and Philadelphia Street in Marfa on December 26th.

    Federal agents reportedly found videos depicting child pornography on Dodson's computer.

    Meanwhile, agents reportedly found more than 3,000 images and 200 videos of child pornography on Young's computer during a similar search.

    Now, Dodson is charged with possession of child pornography.

    Young, 26, is charged with one count of receipt and distribution of material involving the sexual exploitation of minors, and one count of possession of material involving the sexual exploitation of minors.

    If convicted, Dodson faces up to 10 years in prison, while Young faces 15 to 30 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
