Hobby Lobby may have found a loophole to avoid millions of dollars in fines it faced for choosing not to comply with a piece of the health care law.

The penalty was set to go into effect on the day the Christian-based craft chain's new health care plan went into effect for the year.

Now, Hobby Lobby says it plans to shift the plan year and postpone the potential fines for several months.

At issue is a piece of the health care law that requires employer-provided health care plans to make all F-D-A approved contraceptions and sterilization procedures available to female employees.

Hobby Lobby has said its says it will not pay for what it calls "abortion-inducing drugs."

It is fighting the mandate in court.
