MIDLAND -- Some road work will lead to closures along Lamesa Road in Midland for the next several weeks.

Work crews have shut down portions of Lamesa Road between Oak Avenue and Cottonwood Avenue.

Contractors are lowering water valve lids and manhole covers along the road.

If the weather permits, crews will begin a larger Mill/Overlay project along Lamesa Road on January 21st.

Work crews will be keeping the road open as much as possible, but drivers want to steer clear of this area if possible.
