Deputies believe that a white or Hispanic man intentionally set a couch on fire in front of a home in the 500 block of West 46th Street around 3:35 AM on January 16th.
The fire quickly spread to nearby vehicles, the garage door and the front of the home before firefighters could extinguish the flames.
One of the vehicles in the area was suffered significant damage, while the second vehicle only suffered minor damage.
While no one was injured in the blaze, 10 people who lived in the home now need a new place to live.
Deputies believe the man went to the home before the fire started, but set the couch on fire after getting into an argument with people inside the home.
Deputies say that the suspected arsonist is about 6' tall with a thin build.
The man reportedly has a shaved head, hazel eyes and a thin mustache.
The suspect is reportedly in his early 30's.
Anyone with information on the incident, or the whereabouts of this man, should call the Ector County Sheriff's Office at (432) 335-3050 or Odessa Crime Stoppers at (432) 333-TIPS (8477).
