Blockbuster is reportedly closing 300 of its U-S stores soon.

According to the L-A times, the move will leave some three-thousand workers searching for new jobs.

Satellite T-V provider Dish acquired Blockbuster in 2011.

Dish says many of the closing stores have reached the end of their leases.

Poor sales are blamed for the decision to put other stores on the chopping block.
