The Eddy County Sheriff's Department says that staff from Milestone Wellness Center told them around 10:20 AM that Chris Madron had threatened to blow up his trailer home with a propane bottle.
Deputies rushed to Madron's trailer home along East Compress Road after the call.
Deputies found out that Madron, 36, was home at the time, and they used a telephone to help negotiate him out of his home.
Madron was then taken into custody and rushed to Artesia General Hospital for a mental evaluation.
Deputies found a propane tank at Madron's home, but they add that the tank hadn't been tampered with in a way that could possible create an explosive environment.
