Former Midland Councilman, Texas Legislator Passes Away

MIDLAND -- A former Texas state legislator and Midland City Councilman has passed away.

    Frank Kell Cahoon was in the Texas Legislature from 1964 to 1968.

    When Cahoon, 78, started his term in Austin, he was the only Republican in the Texas House.

    Cahoon also served as a Midland City Councilman from 1972 to 1976.

    Funeral services for Cahoon will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Midland at 2 PM on February 2nd.
