Catholic Churches Joyous Over Birth Control Opt-Out Option

The Catholic church is rejoicing after a new mandate over the birth control provision in the healthcare law.

The Obama administration announced today that there's a new proposed rule to eliminate the so-called "four part test" for what constitutes an exempted religious employer.

It also broadens the definition of organizations eligible to opt-out of contraceptive coverage.

The group, Catholics United, says this is a victory for the President's administration as well as the Church.

Women would still be able to receive contraception coverage at no charge.
