Law Enforcement Search For Armed Man In Upton, Reagan Counties

UPTON COUNTY -- A report of possible illegal immigrants with a rifle led several law enforcement agencies to start a massive search in Upton and Reagan Counties on Friday.

    Reagan County Sheriff Jeff Garner tell Big 2 that three possibly illegal immigrants were spotted crossing U.S. 67 with large backpacks around 7:50 AM Friday.
   
    One of the men was reportedly armed with a rifle.

    Texas Department of Public Safety troopers had a helicopter searching areas near U.S. 67 between Big Lake and Rankin on Friday morning.

    Reagan County Sheriff's deputies and Upton County Sheriff's deputies also searched for the men.

    The search was still ongoing as of 4:30 PM Friday.
