ODESSA -- Three teenagers are arrested after crashing a vehicle in an Odessa alley.

Odessa Police tell Big 2 that they tried to pull over a car -- which the teens were in -- because it matched a car that was involved in a recent burglary.

However, the car took off instead -- with police in hot pursuit.

The car tried to turn into an alley near East 17th Street and Laurel Avenue, but the vehicle hit a gas meter and dumpster before smashing into a police.

Witnesses say they heard a loud bang as the crash unfolded.

"There was a whole bunch of police," one witness (who didn't want to be identified) told Big 2. "By the time I got outside, there was police all up and down the neighborhood. and in the alley and on the other side of the alley."

The 3 teens were taken into custody after the crash.

Odessa Police haven't identified the teens or said what they're charged with.
