Chuck Hagel will not withdraw his name from nomination to be Defense Secretary, according to his brother.

Tom Hagel says the bruising battle for confirmation will likely make his brother "fight harder."

The White House appears to be scrambling to keep President Obama's defense secretary nominee afloat in the confirmation process.

Vice President Joe Biden is making calls to Republican senators urging them to support Hagel, according to a senior Democratic source.
