Country Singer Found Dead

HEBER SPRINGS, AR -- Arkansas authorities found the body of Country Music star Mindy McCready dead of an apparent suicide.

Deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call Sunday afternoon of gunshots fired at her home in Heber Springs. When officers arrived they found her body on the front porch. Investigators say she died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The troubled singer struggled with addiction and mental illness.

She burst onto the music scene in 1996 with her debut album "10,000 Angels" and the hit "Guys Do It All the Time".

McCready leaves behind two young boys, one of them ten months old.The infant's father, record producer David Wilson killed himself last month.
