Midland Man Arrested After Metal Pipe Attack

MIDLAND -- A Midland man is accused of hitting a co-worker in the head with a metal pipe.

    Christopher Roy Meek was arrested on February 18th.

    Midland Police say that Meek, 22,  hit a co-worker in the head with a metal pipe during an argument on the afternoon of February 18th.

    The victim -- who reportedly was working at an oilfield site with Meek -- ended up at the emergency room at Midland Memorial Hospital after the incident.

    The assault also reportedly split the victim's left ear in half.

     Now, Meek is charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

    As of Wednesday evening, Meek was being held in the Midland County Detention Center on $75,000 bond.
