C.B.P. agents found marijuana stashed in several parts of a 2001 Chevrolet Trailblazer that was crossing into the U.S. from Mexico at the Presidio Port-of-Entry around 7 AM on February 19th.
Agents say the driver of the Trailblazer -- Edgar Omar Calderon Arzaga of Chihuahua, Mexico -- seemed nervous while undergoing routine questioning, and the vehicle was subsequently selected for a secondary exam.
Agents later found and seized vacuum sealed bags of marijuana in the vehicle's fuel tank and tires.
Agents also say they found and seized marijuana in metal collars that were attached to the rims of the vehicle's tires.
The seized marijuana weighed a combined 184 pounds, and agents say the estimated street value of the drugs is $147,200.
Calderon Arzaga, 25, was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations agents in connection with the failed smuggling attempt.
