GREENWOOD -- Greenwood I.S.D. officials have finished an investigation into a possible gun threat made by an elementary school student.

Greenwood I.S.D. superintendent Doug Young released a statement on the investigation on Thursday.

In the statement, Young said that his office got a report of two elementary students discussing guns at a school playground earlier this week.

Reports also surfaced that a threat might have been made during the discussion.

Ultimately, Greenwood I.S.D. officials determined that there was no threat made, and there was no threat to student safety.
