Forsan I.S.D. Bond On May Ballot

By: Dylan Brooks
Updated: February 26, 2013
FORSAN -- Forsan residents will vote on a $23.8 million dollar school bond in the upcoming May elections.

The Big Spring Herald reports that Forsan I.S.D. trustees voted unanimously to put the construction bond issue on the May ballot.

If the bond is approved, it will finance the replacement of Elbow Elementary school, which was built in 1930.

Funding from the bond would also allow Forsan I.S.D. to build a wastewater treatment plant, add space to the secondary campus and add new security features for the secondary campus.

Voters will decide whether to pass the bond during the May 11th election.
