501 Day Mission to Mars

The countdown is on for a manned mission to Mars. Executives at Paragon Space Development Corporation want to send a couple of earthlings on a 501-day trip to the Red Planet. The spacecraft wouldn't actually land on Mars -- it would just fly around it.

The target date for public-private initiative is 2018.
