MIDLAND -- Two more hotels could soon be coming to Midland.

The Midland Planning and Zoning Committee approved zone changes this week for an area near the Scharbauer Sports Complex.

The zone change paves the way for two hotels to be built south of the AT&T call center at the intersection of Loop 250 and TX 191.

Developers can't reveal the brands of the hotels.

However, Midland officials say both hotels would be 3 to 4 stories tall and have 90 to 100 rooms.

Once the hotels are completed, there would be 9 hotels adjacent to the Scharbauer Sports Complex.
