MIDLAND -- A motorcyclist is injured in a crash at a Midland intersection.

The crash happened at the intersection of Midland Drive and the Business 20 service road around 11:50 AM Wednesday.

Midland Police say that an S.U.V. was heading south on Midland Drive when the driver failed to yield to crossing traffic at the intersection with the Business 20 service road.

The S.U.V. made a right turn in front of a motorcycle that was heading east on the Business 20 service road.

The motorcyclist swerved to avoid hitting the S.U.V., lost control of the motorcycle and crashed.

The motorcyclist -- whose name has not been released -- was rushed to Midland Memorial Hospital with minor injuries after the crash.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The driver of the S.U.V. got a ticket for failing to yield the right-of-of way at a stop sign.
