House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan could be on the verge of reigniting another political firestorm over Medicare.

Several House Republican sources say Ryan is considering dramatic changes to Medicare as part of his budget plan for next year.

Those sources say the proposal could include changing the entitlement program for people who are currently 57 and older.

That's despite a Republican pledge to avoid changes for anyone 55 or older right now.

Ryan declined to answer questions about his plan Tuesday morning, telling reporters they'll see what he's up to "next week."
