Two 18-Wheelers Collide At West Odessa Intersection

The crash happened around 2:30 PM at the intersection of TX 302 and F.M. 866 in far West Odessa.
Texas Department of Public Safety tell Big 2 that an 18-wheeler was heading north when the driver tried to cross TX 302 without yielding to crossing traffic.
A big rig that was heading east on TX 302 t-boned the 18-wheeler in the intersection.
One of the big rigs flipped over and was torn apart in the collision.
The impact of the crash also smashed in the front of the cab on the second truck.
The driver of the semi that had been heading north on F.M. 866 was taken to an Odessa hospital with serious injuries.
Troopers say that the man was in stable condition.
The injured driver will also get a ticket for failing to yield the right of way.
The driver of the semi that had been heading east on TX 302 wasn't seriously injured in the crash.
